I'm not sure what has prompted me to do this this particular year, but I have decided that it is high time that I grow a beard. Maybe it's just because i'm getting older, or because all Unix geeks should have one, or maybe it's my inner hippie...

Whatever the reason, nothing is going to stop me this time. I may even upload beard progress report photos if you're lucky.

I only hope I can grow a nice one!
